Each year, Medequip service/maintain 100,000 items in Service User’s homes, ensuring safety and maximising equipment whole-life costs.

Medequip comply fully with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and all other relevant legislation. Stringent standards are met for all servicing activities.

Medequip are UKAS audited independently by LRQA to OHSAS 18001:2007 safety standards and represented in the BHTA LOLER Working Group by the Head of SHEQ, working proactively with the HSE.

Medequip is the one stop shop for Care Equipment Servicing and Care Home Maintenance.

LOLER Testing

6 monthly weight check on all lifting equipment

PAT Testing

Safety inspection of all electrical equipment

LOLER and PAT as well as Visual Inspection requirements are monitored through our bespoke IT system. Frequency is set and auto-generates the service requirement.

All engineers are LOLER and PAT trained and certificated, manufacturers provide product training for repair and installation instructions.

PPM On Your Care Equipment: Planned Preventative Maintenance

Medequip's technicians are qualified to a high standard and are subject to regular work checking ensuring industry standards are met and exceeded on all jobs.

All Medequip technicians enjoy the benefits of product training by the Original Equipment Manufacturers for all equipment we provide, ensuring comprehensive product knowledge of our extensive range.

Defects/failures are always flagged to our Customers and referred to the statutory authorities where necessary (HSE/MHRA). Where patient/operator safety may be affected, equipment will be isolated and notification will be made and an immediate solution will be sought in conjunction with our Customers.
