Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Service Centre

We are commissioned to provide the Shropshire Community Equipment Loan Service.

Your local service centre is located in Telford.

We provide this service working in partnership with Shropshire Council, Telford and Wrekin Council and NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Integrated Care Board (ICB).

What support is available to help me keep independent?

If you have a disability and/or experience difficulty completing daily tasks, you have a couple of options:

Community Equipment Loan Service

The service provides a range of equipment to help you live independently. This is funded by your local Council and NHS, where Medequip provides the equipment on loan and includes delivery and fitting, servicing, collection and recycling.

You may be eligible for specific equipment following an assessment, where health or social care prescribers, such as an Occupational Therapist, can work with you to find ways of managing tasks and offer advice and potential solutions.

To access equipment and request an assessment, you can ask your GP for a referral, or if you are to be discharged from hospital, an assessment can be arranged.

Returning Equipment

If you have already benefited from equipment loaned to you that you no longer need, you can request a free collection so we can recycle and help others in need. Contact us on 0333 091 7769 or email shropshire@medequip-uk.com.
