Medequip is delighted to announce the opening of three new depots in recent months, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing service delivery, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
Melton, East Riding of Yorkshire
Following a successful contract award, Medequip has established its first-ever presence in East Yorkshire, operating from a newly built facility at Evolve Business Park in Melton, East Riding of Yorkshire. The depot has been designed with sustainability in mind, featuring rooftop solar panels, electric van charging points, and green living walls.
The Melton facility will support residents across the East Riding of Yorkshire and Hull, providing vital equipment to help people live independently and safely at home. The new depot forms a key part of Medequip’s long-term strategy to deliver high-quality services tailored to the needs of local communities.
Bromborough, Wirral
The Wirral service has relocated to a brand new, modern depot at Wasdale Way on Croft Trade Park, just 400 metres from its previous site. The new facility offers improved operational space and supports increased efficiency in equipment logistics and service delivery.
With enhanced energy-efficient design features and a focus on sustainability, the new Bromborough site will continue to provide essential support to residents across the Wirral, enabling the timely provision and collection of community equipment.
South Normanton, Derbyshire
To streamline operations across Derby City and Derbyshire, Medequip has relocated services previously run from Alfreton and Haydock Road in Derby to a purpose-built depot in South Normanton. The facility significantly increases storage capacity from 300 to over 1,000 racking locations, supporting greater demand and faster response times.
Sustainability features include solar panels, electric van charging points, and landscaped green spaces designed to encourage biodiversity. The new depot strengthens Medequip’s ability to support residents with the equipment they need to remain independent in their own homes.
David Griffiths, Managing Director at Medequip, commented:
These new depots represent a significant step forward in our mission to deliver high-quality, sustainable services to communities across the UK. By investing in modern facilities with green credentials, we are not only improving operational efficiency but also reinforcing our commitment to reducing environmental impact. We are excited to continue supporting residents in accessing the equipment they need to maintain their independence and quality of life.
