On Friday 1 August winding up orders were made against Nottingham Rehab Limited (trading as NRS Healthcare) and NRS Healthcare Limited. The court appointed the Official Receiver as liquidator and a team from PwC as Special Managers.
Medequip have agreed to provide Community Equipment Services in Kent, Dorset (including Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole), Cambridge and Peterborough, Doncaster, Blackburn with Darwen and the London boroughs of Ealing and Hillingdon. We will also provide the Technology Enabled Care Service in North Yorkshire.
The new services will be developed to support both urgent and routine equipment needs. However, initially only critical and urgent services will be provided. This will include delivery of equipment to facilitate hospital discharges, and repair and replacement of critical equipment in use.
The contact telephone numbers that NRS provided for people who use services to call have been redirected to Medequip (other than the London Boroughs of Ealing and Hillingdon). We have also provided new phone numbers and email addresses for each service within the Contact Us section of our website. For urgent requests for equipment repair please call the appropriate number for the area you live in.
Medequip are in the process of transferring around 300 members of staff from NRS, undertaking training on our systems, and securing premises and vehicles to enable us to provide a full service as soon as feasible. In the meantime, we ask for patience and understanding whilst this transition is completed.
