Contract Implementation

Contract Implementation

The Medequip Team have unparalleled implementation experience, successfully delivering 25 CES start-up and large-scale change projects in the last 5 years.

Our Prince 2 approach to contract implementation, supported by a dedicated Medequip Project Team which itself is further supported by the largest network of Community Equipment stores in the UK allows for peace of mind for any implementation project.

Medequip have never failed to implement a new contract or service on time, and have even achieved this in as little as seven weeks from contract award to full service launch!

Examples:

In 2015 we successfully mobilised multi-CCG/LA commissioned CES solutions in:

  • Durham & Darlington
  • Wirral - as Lead Provider covering CES/Slips trips and falls/telecare response
  • Suffolk – an ICES/WCS contract, operating 3 existing multi-sites across widespread demography

In 2016 we successfully mobilised multi-CCG/LA commissioned CES solutions in:

  • North Yorkshire
  • Lancashire
  • Blackburn with Darwen

In 2017, we successfully implemented the London Consortium contract, a framework consisting of 19 separate London Boroughs and the largest CES contract in the UK.

TUPE

The transfer of an existing workforce to the new service under TUPE is probably the most important and potentially sensitive element of any implementation project.

Our Implementation team and HR Manager have extensive experience in the transferring of employees. In the last 5 years over 200 employees have successfully transferred to Medequip under TUPE from awarded contracts.

We understand the importance of ensuring that these employees and their experience is retained and that service continuity is maintained. TUPE Transferees are always treated with equal dignity and respect to those that join our organisation directly.

Testimonial:

I wanted to get in touch to say how absolutely delighted I have been with the service delivered by Medequip in North Yorkshire since you took over the contract. Speaking as one of the OT Team Managers, but for all the users of the service, we had struggled substantially with the previously commissioned provider.

I can’t put into words how much more manageable my job is now that the store and the associated systems, drivers, and staff are streamlined and functioning effectively. All credit to Michaela, Karl and the team as I cannot imagine the monumental challenge it was having picked up a service which was in such a poor condition.

My sincerest thanks for all they do and thanks that at any point of contact I have had where there has been an issue, it has been resolved immediately. Keep up the great work!
