Giving Something Back
A Social Responsibility
At Medequip we aim to encourage all our colleagues to Give Something Back and this begins at corporate
level.
We recognise individual and team success and commitment through:
- Our Annual 'Big Thank You Day'
- Employee of the Quarter Awards
- Team Thank You events at each location
- Long Service Awards
- And just saying 'Happy Birthday' with a card
Similarly we like to try and Give Something Back to the communities in which we work. We do this through
sponsorship activity across a range of projects and events.
Examples include:
- The Birmingham Care Awards Sponsorship
-
Amy Grant from Stafford – a 16 year old swimmer competing at British Championship level – support grant
-
Heanor Juniors FC, Derbyshire – Football Team kit sponsorship
- 1st Uphill Scout Group, Weston-super-Mare – grant to help with their scout hut refurbishment
-
Stuart Davies and Adam Sargeant from Woolwich – Sky Dive sponsorship – with proceeds going to Dementia UK
Alzheimer’s Society
This year our colleagues were asked to help select a corporate charity partner – to allow us to focus our fundraising
on a cause that many of our team come into contact with in our jobs on a daily basis. From a final shortlist we selected
the Alzheimer’s Society. We are now very proud to be working with them to raise funds for this very worthy cause and have
challenged ourselves to raise a minimum of £20,000 in the next year.
