Date:
Chris was diagnosed with inoperable cancer and fought the disease and the consequences with amazing bravery,
fortitude and strength over the last months, for which we all have the highest level of admiration.
Chris wished to continue to work and carry on as normal for as long as possible, and to keep the matter
as private as possible.
Chris took an extremely sudden and completely unexpected turn for the worst at the end of November,
and was moved to a local hospice. Chris died peacefully surrounded by his family on the 12th of December.
Perhaps best summed up by his wife Alison –
“Chris played the game to the best of his abilities to the very end and when the final whistle blew
he shook hands with the referee and left the field with his head held high.”
Chris’s funeral took place at St Michaels Church, Melksham, on Monday the 23rd of December with over 350
people in attendance, a testament to how highly he was regarded by his family, friends, colleagues and
his local community.
Chris worked at Medequip for more than 12 years as CSM for the South West Region and as a valued member
of the Senior Management Team played a huge part in where Medequip is today.
Chris will be sorely missed by all of his friends and colleagues at Medequip and our thoughts are
with his family.
