Staff at Medequip’s Braintree depot were delighted to get a personal letter of thanks from the Rt Hon Richard Holden MP following his Older People’s Fair held at Basildon’s Laindon Community Centre in September.
Richard organises the free entry fairs every year. They are designed to give older residents a broad spectrum of relevant contacts and facts, including information on pensions and savings as well as providing an opportunity to meet and engage with local groups and finding out about support available locally for them and their families.
At Richard’s request, Medequip were delighted to send a team to introduce the human face of community equipment at the event. Our people took along equipment and leaflets to demonstrate how the equipment services contract works in the area.
“The Older People’s Fair gave us a really productive and informal opportunity to liaise with local people and talk about what Medequip does on a daily basis in the community where they live,” explained Fiona Kayes, Partnership Manager for Medequip. “We always welcome the chance to spread the Medequip word in the community, and look forward to participating in next year’s events.”
