Medequip Supports Forest for Cornwall Project

Sunlight shining through leaves

At Medequip, we believe in integrating Corporate Social Responsibility into our core business practices, and work with our business partners to support initiatives where public sector procurement can deliver wider benefits to society and local communities through qualitative social value contracts.

In Cornwall, we’re delighted to be part of an imaginative and innovative council project known as Forest for Cornwall, supporting people to plant trees in a wide range of different environments across the county, from woodland creation and agroforestry through to community spaces, street trees and hedgerows.

The Cornwall Council team heading up the project are celebrating five years of achievement in 2025, successfully planting more than 1.6 million trees in over 1000 different initiatives and with more than 500 hectares of planting already in the pipeline for this winter.

Medequip has committed to providing funds for 1000 trees via the Forest for Cornwall tree giveaway project. Our contribution is aimed at the Back Garden Project, specifically funding trees for planting in private gardens around the county. The first big tree giveaway took place at the end of October in Torpoint, supported by Medequip staff who also used the event to promote our own Return, Recycle Reuse philosophy.

Into the future, Medequip will continue to work with local tree planting organisations to support reforestation and afforestation initiatives throughout Cornwall. The initiative aligns with Medequip’s own Carbon and Energy Policy targeting net zero by 2030 as well as our environmental and sustainability policies.
